I haven’t outgrown the Beatles, and I don’t think I ever will. I am not the most enthusiastic of fans, but their music never fails to uplift my spirits. Of course, there are certain songs which are just plain boring or silly, but in general, the Beatles are a good go-to band.
Beatles fans would know their album covers by heart. I’ll be honest and say I don’t, but that doesn’t take away from the fun of seeing some of their covers from a different perspective; that is, pixelated.
Flavorwire showcases some of the pixelated covers. Feast your pixel-hungry eyes.
Hunger Games Nail Polish Colors
Apparently, I missed the initial rumors that a nail polish line was going to be released for The Hunger Games. Thanks to Fashionably Geek, I just about caught the update – that the Hunger Games Nail Polish Line is really coming out.
Unsurprisingly, legal issues are to blame for the talk about the whole thing being a hoax.
If I had come across the Hunger Games Nail Polish Line a year or so ago, I probably couldn’t have cared less. I have to admit that I am rather curious as to how the colors would look in real life – Smoke and Ashes and Riveting are particularly interesting.
Any Hunger Games readers out there? How do you take this marketing move?
Oh yeah, we’ll have to wait till March next year for the release.
LEGO Engagement Ring
They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, although I really would have to disagree with that. Then again, as I have been told one time too many, I always point out the exception to the rule. In any case, if you are a girl and you like diamonds, then you will probably have something to say about this LEGO Diamond Ring. Continue reading

Crazy Ones Poster
Everyone has heard or read this quote at least once by now. The recently departed Steve Jobs has indeed left a mark on our generation, and this quote is perhaps one of the most popular (if not the most inspiring) that can be attributed to him.
If this quote means much to you, you might want to get a letterpress poster featuring the quote in its entirety. Uncrate is accepting orders till December 17. A poster costs $100-$200. (You didn’t think it would come cheaply, did you? After all, it is still an Apple-related product!)
Each poster measures in at 10 x 26 inches, is printed on 100% cotton and handmade Arches 140# paper. There are only 500 prints available, so if you really want one, I suggest not waiting.
The ukelele has been a source of fascination for kids and adults alike. I bet you had your own ukelele when you were a kid, and even if you didn’t have one, you probably lusted for one. Who wouldn’t? A ukelele is a cute little bundle which allows you to express your creativity via music, and while your perception of your musical skills may be rather different from what listeners hear, no one can deny the fun that playing with a ukelele brings.
Now what if your ukelele is shaped like the Autobot logo? Now THAT is taking fun to whole new level, don’t you think? Continue reading
Who remembers this exchange in one episode of The Big Bang Theory?
Sheldon: What do I have to say to bring this discussion to a speedy conclusion?
Leonard Hofstadter: Tell me whether or not I should go out with Penny.
Sheldon: Schrodinger’s cat.
Leonard Hofstadter: Wow, that is brilliant!
Sheldon: You sound so surprised.

Wonder Woman Mixer
Gals and guys who spend a lot of time in the kitchen AND who think Wonder Woman is the best thing that happened to superheroes, this is what you’re going to have to ask Santa this Christmas. Even if you haven’t been good this year, maybe you can convince Santa to let you have your heart’s desire this time.
And even though I got this unsolicited snarky comment: “Get back to your kitchen woman, and do wonders!” in relation to this awesome mixer, I still want one!

Game much? Not video games, but tabletop games. You know, board games, card games, dice games, and so on. With these games, dice are an integral part of the experience, and Mario Lurig of Boulder, CO decided to make things sweeter. Literally.
He has launched a Kickstarter project called “Gaming Dice in Chocolate and Sugar“, the goal of which is to make candy versions of multisided dice that tabletop gamers use. There really is not much else that needs to be said. Chocolate and sugar. I’m sold. It’s basically having your dice and eating it, too.
